Open in Google Maps ↗

The Municipality of Pollein launches the 'Racines de Papier' competition, open to all residents, to design and build 'little free libraries' using reclaimed materials linked to the tradition and ancient crafts of the Aosta Valley. The initiative aims to promote shared reading and pass on the historical memory of the territory through creative reuse. Registrations must be submitted by July 30, 2026, and the works must be completed and installed by November 30 of the same year. Once placed in one of the hamlets or public spaces of the municipality, each little library will become part of the municipal heritage, and its creator will be named 'Godfather of the Little Library'. The award ceremony will take place in conjunction with the 'Puette' delivery ceremony for newborns, thus combining the symbolic value of giving a book to the community from early childhood.
